A girl, her car & a learning curve

Under the hood.
In my own lane.

Hey, I’m Teya. I’m a student with an old car, a thing for engines, and a lot left to learn. This is my little journal of figuring it all out.

Notes from my little garage

A few things on my mind.

Learning a little.
Writing it down along the way.

01THE STARTING LINE

You don’t have to know everything to start.

Why I want to study mechanics, and why being a beginner is a perfectly good place to be.

Read the note

I want to study mechanics because I like the idea of understanding something I use every day. A car can feel like one big mystery when you only know how to drive it. I want to get to know what’s going on underneath.

For me, starting small makes that less overwhelming. Learning the names of parts, reading about how systems work, and asking questions all count. I don’t need to pretend I already know the answer.

Being a girl who likes cars doesn’t mean I have to prove anything. I’m allowed to be curious, to be new at this, and to take my time. The goal is to keep learning until the unfamiliar starts to make sense.

02THE OLD CAR DIARIES

My old car is part of the story.

It’s not about having the newest thing. It’s about learning to look after the one you have.

Read the note

I spend time fixing and maintaining my old car because I enjoy learning about it. There’s something personal about a car you get to know a little better each time you look after it.

What interests me most is the connection between the little details and the bigger picture. What does a particular part do? How does it work with the rest? What should I learn before trying anything myself?

This journal isn’t a workshop manual. It’s a place for that curiosity, and for the satisfaction of understanding a little more than I did before. For actual repair work, the right service information and help from someone qualified matter.

03OFF THE CLOCK

There’s life outside the garage, too.

Sunset walks, sushi, and the comfort of coming home in an oversized hoodie.

Read the note

As much as I love cars, they’re not the whole story. I’m also a student who likes going to the gym, taking long walks at sunset, and finding time for a sushi date.

I live with my mom in an old house. Home is where I slow down, get comfortable in an oversized hoodie, and put on a romantic movie after studying.

I like having both sides of my life here: the part that wants to understand engines, and the part that just wants a quiet evening. Some days there’s more to learn. Other days, it’s enough to step outside and enjoy the sunset.

The girl behind the journal

Hi, I’m Teya.
Still figuring it out.

I’m a student, a car lover, and hopefully a future mechanic. I live with my mom in an old house, look after my old car, and dream of working with cars professionally one day.

This is a space for the things I’m interested in — engines, everyday life, and all the small discoveries in between. No perfect garage or expert title needed.

See you around,

One small thing at a time

You don’t need to have it all figured out.
Just stay curious.
